Subject: Replacing commercial lawn
Date: Sat, 07 Nov 1998 16:59:10 -0800
On behalf of a friend, a basic P-c question:
He bought a house with a large lawn and has let much of it grow out. Of
course it has
grown out in the form of longer versions of the lawn, while beyond there are
natural
grasses etc. growing. Any suggestions as to how he can replace this grass with
something more indigenous/natural?
As some of you may remember, I live in Central British Columbia with summer
temperatures getting into the mid 20s C and winter going down at times to -30
and
below. So, green beans, for example, are a borderline crop.
