Permaculture: A Language for Gardeners
The Hawaiian people have a phrase in their
language which expresses deep understanding of their place on the
earth, "ua mau ke ea o ka aina i ka pono." It
translates into English as, "the life of the land is
preserved in righteousness." This feeling of deep gardening
is the sensibility we must invoke to describe Permaculture or
"permanent culture." |
