What a wonderful insight regarding a way of perceiving a sequence through WP’s novels. Two thoughts:1) His essays must (always) also be considered2) WP was surely half ‘unconscious’ in his own approach to shaping each ’next’ note in his life’s work, even if each next novel was not in an obvious {developmental} sequence in relation to the prior one. Thanks for this list, and for the opportunity to contribute to it,Stephen
