Great points. As regards the topic of lying, my guess is Slomo -- like Dr. More, and also Binx -- has had his fill. The acts of lying imposes, after all, a most stressful way of life (you have to have too remarkable of a memory, as has been observed).
I laugh often when reading dialogue with Binx and More. No matter the question posed, even those calling for an embarrassingly revealing response, the answer comes back precise as a bus stop -- "yes" or "no" or "that's true."
Don't get me wrong .... Nothing really wrong with lying (we all do it, and most often without harming anyone other than possibly ourselves). To live without lying is indeed remarkable.
