Was Uncle Will homosexual? I seem to recall
something along those lines - not sure where, if it was from this list or a bio
or some such. He never married. In that case, Percy would never
have been "homophobe," though he was, as evidenced in his fiction, sexually
conservative and definitely had some "madonna-whore" complex in him (evident in
Tolson's bio as well as Percy's fiction). But, not uncommon in most
southern men, so one can't blame him for that.
