Jim, I'm not familiar with this plum, but it also goes by the name
'Homesteader'. It is supposed to have a green skin with a red blush. I
imagine the green turns to a yellowish green when it is fully ripe. It is
sold by DNA Gardens in Canada. Some sources say it is hardy to Zone 2. -- Sam

Can't be too crazy of an idea. I heard of a zone 3 fellow who grows a peach
in an underground silo. He removes the cover during the growing season and
puts it back on for the dormant season.
