I planted a quince tree (Quince of Portugal) 2 years ago, got a dozen fruit
last year, and this
year the tree is covered in blossoms. If this were an apple tree it would be
very clear - I
would need to thin agressively. Does the same thing apply to quinces? (Will
they fail to size
up if I don't thin? Will the tree adopt a biennial bearing if I don't thin
agressively this year?)
