Grover, kiwi grafts take easily so you may be able to do a one-shot
interstem, do the interstem and top variety graft at the same time. I would
at least try a few that way, if they take you will get more growth this year.
Saanichton has been very tasty for me. I pick them just before the first
hard freeze, and put them in the fridge until February. They are sweeter and
more flavorful than the store-bought Haywards. My Blake has not fruited yet.
I was also not super keen on Anna. Kens Red has been very good.

several years and the graft pops off.
Next spring I will graft the kolomikta interstem and then try grafting
the deliciosa later in the season.
My hardy 'Anna' kiwi in full sun tastes only fair to me, what can I
expect from Blake and Saanbichton?

A. deliciosa on A. arguta grafts will take easily, but will start to
decline after a couple of years, and eventually fail due to
incompatibility. A. kolomikta does not seem to have any compatibility
problems with ohter species, and can be used, but is not very vigorous. If
you want to graft to an A. arguta stock, then you could try using A.
kolomikta as an interstem.

has anyone had experience grafting fuzzy Kiwi onto hardy kiwi root stock?__________________
My experience is hardy Kiwi varieties vigorously take on hardy vines.
No incompatibility issues and the grafts heal fast..
I did one Hayward fuzzy Kiwi graft onto the hardy and it died over winter.
I have Saanichton and Blake that I want to graft int the hardy vines
next spring.
