July 18: Early bird, free tours of: Canada's seed genebank, College of Ag
tour, Dept. of Plant Sciences greenhouse tour. Banquet in the evening in
association with the Canadian Society of Hort. Science.
July 19: Talks and discussion groups. We have enough speakers to have 2
concurrent sessions. Speakers are from across the USA and Canada. In the
evening we will have a 'Brags and Blunders' session over supper.
July 20: Haskap Day: Tours and talks at the Horticulture Research Orchard.
30 acres of fruits. Focus will be on Haskap but we will also see other
fruits being grown.
In mid-July Haskap, strawberries and Saskatoon berries are ripe. If the
season is early, the cherries will be almost ready. In the evening we will
have a haskap supper.
July 21: Saskatchewan Fruit Grower's Summer tour: Visit a few local fruit
growers, farmers market, etc.
