Steve,
My preference is late fall for transplanting persimmon over spring. Wait
until tree is fully dormant. In your area after Dec. 1 should work very well.

Our fall shipping season is underway and the trees are in great shape
this year.
New introduction this season are
. New World Pear - Bartlett European pear x Korean Giant Asian Pear.
Pear develops a beautiful fawn colored
. skin. Fruit texture is fine grain without grit cells. Fruit is as
large as Korean Giant and has a sweet crunchy texture that is reminiscent of
a butterscotch flavor. Fruit shape is slightly oblong with a button at the
flower end of fruit and this tree produces very heavy crops of large pears.
Tree is fire blight resistant with little to no outbreaks.
Will be available fall 2011.

Persimmon and Jujubes Have had an exceptionally Crop this year and are
loaded with fruit many of the jujubes are just about finished for the season
and the Kaki persimmons are half way thru ripening.
Did you know that Most of our trees are grown in Containers and can be
shipped with a root ball in tact with the fine hair root intact and we
strive to work with all our customers on warranty issues.
We are sold out of Pawpaw for this season but with next year just around
the Corner in Fall 2012 we will be Listing new cultivars Of pawpaw.
Summer Delight Ripens the last week of July to the first week of August it
is a medium size Pawpaw with a delicious flavor with a tropical flavor and
the trees next year will be the Large trees that you have seen in the past 2
to 3 and 3 to 5 feet tall not those skimpy little trees that are now being
sold in those 4 X 4 pots these will have a massive root system.
We dig out our field grown Trees in late February to early March weather
pending and begin shipping immediately to provide the best possible tree
survivability and to insure health of the trees.
Trees are stored in walk-in coolers for a brief time Just prior to shipping
and trees are keep at a temperature of 36 degree F. we only ship plant
material till the Middle of April and from that point forward the trees must
be shipped in Containers due to the fact that most trees have broken
dormancy in Zone 6 central Kentucky.
We have grown Rojo Brillante persimmon for several year now and We
believe it to be the best persimmon on the market it retains a high fibrous
rate and stays firm when ripe this should be tried, without a doubt the best
tasting kaki on the market.
Thank you and good growing
Thank you
