Is it too old to rule out a latent graft failure / scion rejection? I'm not
sure.
The rootstock is described as being healthy....
Could I remove a small vertical strip of bark, 1/4" wide by 2" long right
above the graft and see if the cambium is alive?
Then continue removing / elongating the strip until another clue might
appear.
Then one below the graft to examine the root side health.
THis is the kind of stuff I like.
