Sure hope the early reports are overly alarmist and either an

predator emerges of some reasonable management strategy is devised.
I hope so too.
There may be only one generation a year as far north as NY State,
which should help a little; though that won't be much help for those
further south; it can apparently produce several generations a year in
parts of China where the weather is warm enough. (see the sites I
linked to in my other email on this.)
