Thank you all for such an interesting conversation. Quince is too fragile
for me, as I live in Zone 4b where it gets down to -25F in the winter. Snow
pack is deep, but January thaws develop in many winters, really stressing
plants. I loose lots of perennials. I think I'll go with OHXF51 and plan
on pruning prodigiously.
