| Cicadas lay their eggs in gashes they make in twigs and are particularly fond of fruit trees. Generally there are not enough of them to cause noticeable damage, but during the 17-year invasion here in Maryland a few years ago they were everywhere, and I lost a whole year of growth on my young orchard. Scott Cicadas don't hurt trees in adult stage. Don't worry. |
