Folks:
If you haven't already heard, David Jacke - primary author of
"Edible Forest Gardens" - will be giving a series of talks and workshops
in Central Ohio starting this Friday (July 30) in Columbus. These are
sponsored by the Ohio Ecological Food and Farmers' Association (OEFFA)
and are a wonderful opportunity to get some ideas on how to make your
yards, orchards, and forests healthier and more productive. Jacke and
Toensmeier focus mostly on food production (unlikely to bother anyone in
this crowd) but they lay a solid foundation for biomass, fiber,
bio-remediation and building material production as well.
If you have a chance to come to one of the talks, then take it!
Columbus, July 30
Cincinnati, August 6
Yellow Springs, August 9
If you have a chance to come to the workshops, then leap on it.
1-day - Cincinnati, August 7
2-day - Delaware, July 31-August 1
7-day - Yellow Springs, August 9-15
I can even put one or two people up for a night or two, if desired.
For more information, go to the OEFFA website (oeffa.org) or, more
specifically, to the workshop page (http://oeffa.org/forest.php).
Perhaps I'll even get to meet a few of you there.
