You may be cold/far north enough that Evans will do
fine for you - it just doesn't work for me.
I'll be glad to dig and send some Evans suckers to
you, if you'll send me a reminder in, say, late
Feb/early March. There are at least a couple of
suckers that have popped up in one of the pecan
seedling rows, a good 30-40 ft away from the original
plant, and they'll be safe from the mower - and
should be pretty decent little trees by this fall.
Previous discussions on the list about the Evans
indicates that not all of them sucker, but this one does.
