Jupiter is a seedless MUSCAT grape. Muscat is a special flavor/aroma
in bunch grapes and though muscat and muscadine sound similar, there
is no relation between the two.
Thanks for this explanation, Lon. I was confused about that, myself.
I've got a Jupiter grapevine, and although the grapes were tasty last
year, I didn't notice anything particularly different about them. Of
course, for me to notice, it would have to be REALLY different.
I've never eaten a muscadine grape, so I've got no clue there. I guess I
just assumed that "muscat" meant "the flavor of muscadine grapes."
Foolish of me.
