You might also investigate a muscadine x bunch grape that Mississippi State(zone 7?) had in the late 80's or early 90's. I saw it at the research station there then, but the tour group wasn't offered material of it at the time. Don't know if they still have it, don't know what its parentage is either. As I recall, I think it had muscadine-like foliage--but not sure about that either, now. They also had bunch grapes in their tests there as well.
I seem to recall the name Freddie Raspberry(what a fruity name--lol) in conjunction with MSU extension at that time. You could contact MSU for further info.
