On this page: http://www.fruit.usask.ca/propogators.html
this is very clear: "Note To Americans: In 2010 many Canadian propagators
will be allowed to ship Haskap plants to the US. Because of strict import
laws for cherries, only Garden's Alive and affiliated companies will be
importing our cherry varieties."
It would be helpful if they named the propagators that can ship plants.
Actually, the word "propagators" rather than "nurseries" might be telling.
Maybe the companies that can ship to the USA are big wholesale tissue culture
labs, that can ship wholesale lots of tiny tissue cultured plantlets to
American nurseries, which will grow them to a saleable size, then retail them
to Americans. Just a theory.
