| Leaves on grafted trees are "mature" even when the trees are first planted so they should not need shading. A seedling tree's leaves are juvenile for a few years a perhaps the juvenile leaves do need shading. After years of seeing a lot of pawpaw seedlings, I'm not sure any need shading, though. Can anyone else confirm this, or not?
