Subject : RE: [NAFEX] pawspaw varieties
There is a series of pawpaw variety trials in
various parts of the country. The pawpaw foundation
may have current info on it. Also Kurt Pompher (sp?)
at University of Kentucky may have that info. PA
Golden #1 is the earliest of the PA Golden series
developed by John Gordon who's orchard/nursery is in
upstate New York, It is a relatively early pawpaw
that appears to require somewhat less heat. Use the
fruit and Nut inventory book to get contect info I
don't think he is using a website much. He's a good
resource for gtowing pawpaws in New York State.
