I've got a pluot that holds extremely well on the tree, but that's most of
what I can say about it. It's productive, but not very exciting in flavor.
It has been hanging at least a month past ripe and it's still sound. It's
not a named variety, though. It was grown from seed of Luther Burbank's
"Apex" plumcot.

So out of curiosity, given your proclivity for doing selfless acts, why did
you not cross it with a tastier variety in the hope of passing on this useful
trait in a more tasty form?
