Lee, I think you misunderstood my post. I am growing the plain incarnata, not an incense hybrid. There was a typo in my post regarding hand pollination - fun, I guess, dodging the bees, but not worth the effort there regarding producing quality fruit.
I guess it is possible that the two vines I have are inferior, but one was purchased as a plant from a company that promotes unusual fruit. I would asume that they are offering a superior selection.
Mathew, I appreciate the offer. Let me think about that one. Perhaps next year we could swap some material. It's a bit late here to establish before winter.
As I said before, love the smell and taste, but not productive enough (per fruit).
