I've noticed the same trend. Prices keep climbing without any apparent causes, while incomes are still on a downward spiral. Makes me glad to have an established garden. Wish I could have some minor livestock, but covenants forbid.

Drove 180 miles round trip to a nursery yesterday to buy Evans cherry. Price now is $45.00. Last year the price was $28.00. Didn't buy any, too expensive. Supposedly, there is a fruit tree shortage. Sounds like the gas shortage or the past coffee shortage or past sugar shortage. Massive inflation is coming. $20.00 loaf of bread?
