A friend had a dog who was very good at keeping deer out of his yard. The dog accomplished it mostly by barking. Then one night my friend got tired of all of the barking, opened the door and yelled, "Shut Up!" Thereafter the dog never barked at another deer and the deer starting bedding in his yard and munched his garden.
