I find that the deer repellents really do work, as long as the deer
pressure isn't too high. The big problem is remembering to spray them.
That's easy to do when it's a nice spring day, but not so easy to do in the
dead of winter. I alternate between Liquid Fence and Deer Out. I use the
Liquid Fence more Nov-April when there aren't any fruits on the plants. The
stuff putrefied egg smell is so repulsive that I really wouldn't want it
anywhere near my food. Deer Out, on the other hand, smells like peppermint
and really isn't all that bad. Now, I'm not saying I'd like peppermint
blueberries, but as long as you stop spraying a few weeks before harvest, I
haven't noticed a problem. Good luck,
