I'm not sure how much help I can be as I live in zone 5, but I have a number on trees on M111 and they act more like full size trees than semi-dwarf.

Greetings to all fruit addicts,
I am looking for information about sizes of tree, particularly M111, in colder climate. Let's say zone 3, zone 4, on sandy soil?
M111 is supposed to be semi standard, but it seems to me that they perform more like a semi-dwarf in colder climate. I would certainly like to find out more about this, as it would be very useful for pruning and for planting as a matter of fact...
