I realize that this subject has probably been discussed at length before, but since I am a new member I would love some advice. I have a small orchard of about 35 trees that range between 5-10 years old. The trees are semi-dwarf, with the exception of 2 standard plums. The trees are apples, peaches, sour cherries, plums and one pear. I did a dormant oil spray in late March. I have done no other spraying this year. In the past I have sprayed with a "fruit tree spray" about once a month. I would love to not have to spray at all, but I have been told, and I have read, that spraying is necessary for fruit. Since I am late this year with applying any spray, what should I do? Should I start a spray program and if so, with what? Most of the trees are now in leaf, the blooms are done. Or, should I take my chances and not spray? I use the fruit for home use only. I preserve and can what I can. Eat fresh
and cook with the rest. Thanks in advance for any help. Lisa
