Here is the information I received from
Norton:
Type: Worm Category: Win32 Also known as: W32/Stration!ITW#32 (WildList), W32/Stration!ITW#41 (WildList), Win32/Stration.1lj!DLL!Worm (InoculateIT), Win32/Stration.5sj!Worm (InoculateIT), Win32/Stration.8re!DLL!Worm (InoculateIT), Win32/Stration.8xq!DLL!Worm (InoculateIT), W32.Stration.AC@mm (Symantec), Win32.Stration.AN (EZ Antivirus), WORM_STRATION.BB (Trend), WORM_STRATION.BJ (Trend), Win32/Stration.Variant!Worm (InoculateIT), W32/Stration@MM (McAfee), W32.Stration@mm (Symantec), W32/Warezov.R@mm (F-Secure), Email-Worm.Win32.Warezov.x (Kaspersky) I received the information around 8:00 AM and by 4:00 PM most anti-virus software had been updated to handle the new strain. Mine updated around 2:00 PM. Since we get our posts via e-mail as attachments, I thought it might be a good idea to let everyone know about this strain of the Warezov.w virus since it come sas an attachment as well. It's always a good idea not to open any attachment unless you are expecting an e-mail with an attachment from someone. Sorry for all the confusion. Dennis Norton
