Hi to all,
I'd like to cross pollinate two varieties of citrus trees. Once these trees bear fruit, I'll plant the seeds from this fruit in order to see the results of the cross pollination, but is there any way to see results faster than waiting many years to see fruit from the seedlings? Could I graft a bud from the seedling onto mature rootstock and get results faster?
In other words, is it the age of the scion or the rootstock that determines when the tree will produce fruit?
THANK YOU!
