Old Home is extremely vigorous and resistant to fire blight. It
doesn't have very high flavor, but it's not gritty. At least that's
the way mine has been. It's also graft compatible on hawthorn.

Hello all:
What are the most vigorous pear cultivars? Are any of them resistant to
fire blight? I plan to graft a bunch of pears this spring.
So far, the most vigorous cultivars I have are Devoe, Bon Chretin
d'Hiver, Potomac and, maybe, Ya Li.
