A friend of mine told me of a persimmon growing in Wyndmere, North
Dakota, that bears fruit that doesn't ripen due to (normal) early frost.
Sort of sounds like my growing peaches that want to ripen after my first
(average) frost in Mid-September.
BTW, while the USDA zone chart puts Wyndmere, N.D., in a zone 4 growing
season, but Wyndmere definitely gets zone 3 Winters with alot more wind than
I get here in Pequot Lakes.
