Squad;
Do apple seeds need stratification, or do they go right from the apple into the dirt?
I know the results are not like the parent. Just want to fool around.
PS Somewhere I did read that Wolf River actually comes out almost true to form.
I'm going to plant a bunch of seeds from special apples.
Thank you.
Dear Squad,
Quite some years back Dr. Roger Way planted 381 apple seeds of Monroe x N.Y. 18491. When they were bearing he collected 100 of the fruit and laid them out across and down, best to worst for a photograph. I have a JPG of that photo.
The genetic varience is amazing to say the least.
I'd include it in this message but attachments don't work well with our net. Any one wishing a copy via E/M please contact me off line.
