That's a drought? That's about our usual amount of rain. :-)
Actually, we get about 24" according to our state climate page, and
we're four inches ahead of that this year. But we've been in a drought
the past eight years, so we really needed the extra.
Regarding fall watering, I suspect that you get more snow cover than we
do. We get snow, but it doesn't often last long. And it's usually windy
here. So I imagine that fall watering would be more important for me, to
keep things from drying out too much. If you usually have snow cover all
winter, I'd think you'd probably be OK.
That's just an uninformed opinion, though, so don't count on it.
