Mark,
I have asked your question of a lot of agriculture experts(?) from
around the Country and the best answer I got from any of them was
"Sanitation." In other words, destroy infected plants. Here is the
University of Vermont's description of this insect : Description: The
Raspberry Cane Borer adult is a slender, black 2-inch, long-horned beetle
with long antennae and two black spots on a yellow prothorax

I just found a raspberry crown borer (looks like a yellow jacket) laying
eggs on our blackberries. I don't believe there are any chemical controls
for labeled for raspberry crown borer except RU pesticides. Is there anyone
out there that has found a good cultural control in dealing with these
grubs? Also I found some information indicating parasitic nematodes can
offer some control. Anyone used them?
