Your right Dennis, I meant bacterial
gummosis. I've had what I believed to be bacterial gummosis on a sweet
cherry. One of my neighbors lost 4 sweet cherry trees. He said that
borers killed them, but what he described was bacterial gummosis. As I
recall I put hydrogen peroxide on the canker of my sweet cherry. I don't
know if it was the reason, but the tree lived (so far).
