Hello
When selecting graft wood the advise is to take wood from a healthy tree.  There are times when the reason you are taking a graft is to save the tree because it is unhealthy for what ever reason.  Equally you may have been given wood from someone and you do not know that state of health the tree was in.  Are there any practices such as immersing the graft wood in a solution that help ward off insect . fungal infections.
