You're saying 'Nah' rhymes with 'yeah'??? You mean, like, in, "Yah,
you betcha!?"
Well, you ARE in MN!!!
Down here, 'yeah' would be pronounced as a two-syllable word, 'yay-uh'. LOL.
As opposed to 'yea' which is prounounced 'yay'(or, sometimes drawn
out into yayee - almost two syllables).
I pronounce it, Naf'-ex.
'Course, it might depend upon whether a person pronounced 'American' as:
A(long vowel sound)-merican,
Am(short vowel sound)-erican, or
Uh-mer'can(the way Earl Pitts says it!)(though I would never say Nuf-ex)
