Should we be cutting the bark on our hybrid plum trees to stimulate them
carry more fruit? In a very early Pomona [e.g. 1971] a professor wasquoted
saying poor bearing in plums was due to inadequate nitrogen in the flowerstem,
maybe cutting the bar would ensure more nutrition in the upper part.Sounds
like its worth a try. Is that when to do it, June?sites.
