Subject: [NAFEX] Fireblight resistance in rootstock

The answer is, "Yes." I have three Honey Crisp Apple trees. I bought
the first one from a local nursery and it has fireblight that I constantly
fight. Another came from the former Bear Creek Nursery and it hasn't shown
any sign of fireblight. The third is grafted onto a rootstock that was here
when I bought the farm, using a scion from the tree with the fireblight; I
grafted onto this rootstock - no fireblight.
I was curious if anyone knows about any instance where fireblight resistance
had been changed on a scion based on its rootstock?
