We went to the Appalacian Heritage Seed
Conservancy meeting in Berea Ky last fall, (same place again this year) and
they had a couple who spoke on their seed business. They run tomatoes,
watermelons and peppers through a garbage disposal and then ferment them to
collect the seeds. Apparently very few are broken so I think apple seeds
will not be a problem. It runs Sat and Sun Oct 7 and 8. On Sunday
afternoon John Strang will speak on Heirloom fruit of Appalacia, they said the
last time no one wanted it to end, so he'll end the meeting and everyone can ask
all the questions they want. Donna
