Before you try to explain, ask THEM to explain. Ask what flavor & texture
of apple they like, what season they'd prefer to be dealing w/ a harvest,
how much effort they want to put into a spray schedule, etc. This will
narrow the list a bit.

Subject: [NAFEX] Apple question
Date: Wed, 17 May 2006 09:50:11 -0400
Hello All,
How do you answer the question for a person looking to plant their first
apple trees, and they do not want the varities found in the supermarket,
they want an antique or heirloom variety.
First I applaud their decision, but with thousands to choose from, how do
you explain it?
Later,
Tom
