I met a older couple recently who are moving from a
farmstead here in Northeast Iowa to a home in town. I
ask them if there were any fruit trees around their
farmstead and the wife talked fondly about a variety
she called " Pie Maker". Has anyone heard of an apple
that goes by this name?
I told her that she could take this tree with them to
their new home by grafting a scion of Pie Maker to a
dwarf rootstock.
