If you are in or near southcentral PA (northern Adams County) I would
suggest a visit to Thom and Judy Marti. They are long-time
permaculturists who run an organic CSA, Broad Valley Orchard. The
landscaping around their house uses blueberries and fruit trees, and
they've tucked in food-producing plants everywhere. I will send a
separate message to you off-line with some photos.
And I will surely look forward to your future book (I hope) on edible
landscaping.

I will be driving to Pennsylvania and Ohio this week looking at
colleges with my daughter. I'd also like to get some photos of some
fruit plants that are being used for "edible landscaping," that is,
not planted in an orchard or production garden setting, but being
used as specimen trees, ornamental hedges, groundcovers, foundation
plantings, etc. Does anybody out there have any suggestions for
gardens that I could visit that would fill this bill? Thanks for your
help.
