I agree with you and I, as well, do not understand Charles' premise. I bench
graft hundreds of trees each year. I also top graft and bud graft. My
success rate is about 95%.
How far up state are you? I used to live in East Fishkill.

I couldn't see Charles' original post since it was sent as HTML, and I
generally don't bother to take the extra step to read it.
I don't buy the premise, though, since lots of people who know what they
are doing (I am NOT one of them!) bench graft all the time and have near
100% success.
