Yep, that's where they 'cross'. Rounded, or limiting oneself to significant
figures, 39 and 41 will also work out the same; but if you get down to
tenths, 40's the only temperature doppelganger.

Actually, then cross at -40.
c/(f-32)=5/9
If f=40
c/(-40-32)=5/9
c=(5/9)(-72)
c=-40
And to think I've been wasting brain cells on that all these years...
