Hello All,
A thought ocurred to me regarding getting late blooming apples to bloom
earlier...
I assume that bloom is timed to climate, in particular, soil temps. I
have heard of people keeing trees dormant by insulating frozen ground and
piling snow.
If you planted late blooming apples in raised containers the soil would
warm earlier, hence an earlier bloom.
Does this just sound good, or does it pan out?
Later,
Tom
