They sound like locals, I would not kill them unless the plant shows
signs of damage. They may be part of your ecosystem, and I never kill
anything unless I know for sure what it is and what damage it causes.
They do not sound like pests to me.

Little dark colored worms.
Not earthworms, not red wigglers.............
They are perhaps 1 to 1.5" long, dark brown, not slimy.
They are everywhere in the soil.
They immediately curl into a coil if you handle them.
Does anybody know what they are?
Should they be ignored or killed?
They seem to like the root area of my Saskatoon plants.
Any ideas?
