Folks, I read a story somewhere (Maybe Pomona?) about a man whose neighbors
all laughed at him when he decided to plant an apple orchard at age 75. The
story was told eighteen years later when he was still tending his trees and
had been enjoying his apples for over a decade. Vocations and avocations
from which one does not retire and in which one never stops learning
(gardeners, artists, etc...) seem to produce some long-lived people. dylan
