I talked with the people at One Green World today,
when they called to
confirm the shipping date of the dwarf Shipova I
ordered. I asked about the
aronia rootstock and if it effected the precocity of
the tree. They said
their experience is that Shipova on aronia bears
fruit in 3-4 years. The
person I talked with said that has been the
experience with their grafts at
the nursery. Does this sound reasonable to you
experts, given that Shipova
normally doesn't bear until the 7th year or later?
